Does Moby do his homework?

So I was reading over at Moby’s blog and I came across a post that’s titled “outrage” and here is what he has to say:

ok,

you probably know that i think that george bush (as controlled by oil-blooded dick cheney) is a terrible president.

but you know what REALLY depresses me and what stuns me that the media haven’t reported?

that george bush hasn’t visited a SINGLE soldier who’s been wounded in iraq.

nor has he visited any of the many families who’ve lost someone in the war.

he lies to congress about the reasons for starting the war.

and then he doesn’t even have the decency to visit the wounded soldiers or the families of the soldiers who’ve died in iraq.

it’s just unethical outrage piled on top of unethical outrage with this president.

i can’t even write ‘our president’ cos that’s just too depressing. like most americans i didn’t vote for bush, so i refuse to think of him as ‘our’ president.

The interesting thing is all you have to do is look, with an open mind, online and you will find several news articles – from different organizations – proof that contradicts his “outrage” and ignorant (not stupid mind you, i mean ignorant as in uneducated) rant:

“Bush visits POWs, presents six Purple Hearts to soldiers wounded fighting terrorism”

“With wife Laura by his side, Bush spoke with reporters at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, a suburb of Washington, after a bedside visit with troops he had sent to war and who had been wounded or injured.”

“Bush Visits Troops Wounded In Iraq “

“President Visits Soldiers at Army and Navy Medical Centers “

“Bush visits U.S. soldiers back from front-line duty”

“Bush visits freed POWs at Easter service”

“Mr. Bush was meeting with the families of five Camp Lejeune soldiers who died in the war”

I had hoped that someone as intelligent and educated as Moby would have chosen different wording in his post because he is clearly wrong and his post unfortunately gave faulty and incorrect information to the thousands of people who read his post and took it as truth because, why on earth would someone like Moby make such an allegory?
