President Bush delivered a speech with the “Nation’s Mayors at Winter Meeting” and during said speech he talked about Homeland Security, the Patriot Act and other issues. During his soapbox oration on the No Child Left Behind Act he discussed the leniency and low standards in public schools and went on to say:
I kid you not.
That is a direct quote from the transcript of his speech linked to above. And if you don’t believe me, here it is again. For those of you who are too impatient or unwilling to read the speech to see what I’m talking about, the verbal accident can be found in paragraph 42.
Good stuff…. in a sad sort of way.
