Shame on you Sean Hannity

I’ve been listening to a lot of Air America Radio lately and this morning while at my wee hours of the morning job, I decided to listen to Sean Hannity. I used to listen to Hannity ALL the time 3 years ago leading up to the war in Iraq.

Today on his show he talked about how there was only about 100,000 protestors according to the Associated Press. If you look at the picture I put in a post yesterday you’ll see how many people there were packed into an area of about one half of a city block. There were (from what I heard) about 2 MILES of protestors. I find it hard to believe that there were only 100,000 protesters.

He went on to say that the “small” number of protestors in a country with BILLIONS of residents proves that America is pro-bush. Which is a lie. If I was in the Manhattan area over the weekend, I would have been there.

His next point (all within a few minutes mind you) was that the protestors are the new face of the Democratic party. Do we really need to talk about how obsurd this is? You can see posters in the crowd from union members, defenders of the poor (check out Still We Rise), registered anarchists, pacifists, liberitarians, republicans, etc. United for Peace and Justice was there and I’ve not heard or read anything about them being a partisan organization. The media said the protestors are all “anarchists”. Hannity, using the media as his ammunition, said they’re all democrats. Which one is it?

If Sean Hannity was here with me, I’d give him the Post-It Note of Shame

Meh. Hannity’s a blowhard. I have only actually listened to him once, when required by a politics class. That was enough.

Did he actually have the nuts (or lack of presence) to claim that the US population is in the billions? That’s billions, plural. With a ‘b’?
