Bailey had her very first day of Kindergarten yesterday. She was very excited about being in a “big girl school”. Keli and I did pretty good in response to her not being our little Bailey today and it’s nice to see her excited about being in school.
Luckily she didn’t have a hard time leaving us for her new classroom. Tuesday afternoon we met with her teacher, the other classmates to break the ice. It also helps that three of Bailey’s little friends from Preschool are in her class.
When I asked her what she did in school yesterday (I asked her this when I picked her up) and how she liked her new school, teacher, etc she replied with the often used and always annoying “I dunno.”
Today I received slightly more information about her day. Mostly that some little girl, who Bailey claimed yesterday was “very mean”, was her “best friend” today. Maybe day three will yield some insight into her day. One can hope, right?
