Overdue AFI update

AFI has been a staple of my life for some time now. They were in the midst of touring to promote their last album, “Sing the Sorrow”, when Davey Havok had some vocal cord problems or something. That was about a year or so ago. Since then they’ve claimed to have been hard at work producing tracks for their new album, “DECEMBERUNDERGROUND”.

The first release we heard from them recently (Aside from their cover of NIN’s “Head Like A Hole” which rocks) was a far too pop-sounding single entitled “Rabbits Are Roadkill On Rt. 37″. You can hear that on AFI’s MySpace profile.

Now, they’ve released, apparently, the first single from their upcoming album, due to hit store shelves June 6th, which is titled “Miss Murder”. Head over to their web site to hear the new track. If you care, let me know what you think of it, compared to their past catalog. It’s alright. Not nearly as impressive as their last stuff, in my opinion. But I have a feeling the more I hear that song, the more it’ll grow on me.
