Detainee tribunal bill passed by Senate

Well, they did it folks. The Senate passed the bill I posted about yesterday.

The Senate gave its final approval yesterday for President Bush’s proposal for interrogating and prosecuting the terror suspects held at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, sending the legislation to the White House for Mr. Bush’s signature.

In some ways, it’s better than I had hoped, in others it’s worse than I had feared. Overall, I suspect it’ll be knocked down as blatantly unconstitutional.
