Halloween, by the Misfits

I thought it was a good time to share the love and joy of “Halloween” by the Misfits, with today being Halloween and all. The first time I heard this song was on AFI’s EP “All Hallows”. And I gotta say, I do like AFI’s cover better than the original. I know, it’s diabolical, isn’t it?

Bonfires burning bright
Pumpkin faces in the night
I remember halloween

Dead cats hanging from poles
Little dead are out in droves
I remember halloween

Brown leafed vertigo
Where skeletal life is known
I remember halloween

This day anything goes
Burning bodies hanging from poles
I remember halloween

Halloween, halloween, halloween, halloween

Candy apples and razor blades
Little dead are soon in graves
I remember halloween

This day anything goes
Burning bodies hanging from poles
I remember

Halloween, halloween, halloween, halloween
Halloween, halloween, halloween, halloween

Boo!

  1. Kids these days… Young whippersnappers think the AFI cover is better than the real thing?

  2. BLASPHEMY!

I always knew you elf-loving whippersnappers would ruin this country.

  3. I like the Misfits. Just not their version of the song. I told you it was diabolical. =)
