Barack Obama ‘08

Barack Obama 2008

It’s official! This morning, in Springfield, Illinois, Senator Barack Obama announced his candidacy for presidency. I, for one, am very excited about the possiblity of Barack becoming the next President of the United States.

You can watch the 30-ish minute long video of his speech by going to www.barackobama.com. Or, you can read the transcript of his speech by clicking here.

I’m worried that he may not have enough experience to get elected. On the other hand, a long tour in the Senate doesn’t make for good chances, either.

My hope, at this point, is that Gore announces at the Oscars, the global warming jazz carries him, and Obama gets on as Vice.

Yeah. That’ll happen.

Ian, we all know that global warming is just a scare tactic used by the liberals to cause more mass hysteria. Just like all of the alleged “failures” in Iraq.

Please….

I saw today on the news that Britain is going to be withdrawing 1/4 of their troops. The White House is apparently trumpeting this as a success story (because, obviously, they’re withdrawing because things are going so well).

And we’re about to send 20K more in. Does that make us a failure story?

Experience these days just means more opportunity to get bogged down in the corruption of Washington than it is any real benefit. Besides, Obama has a cool “web 2.0″ website now something like my.panderingtotheyouthvote.barackobama.com. The funny part of this being, of course, that young people don’t vote.
