It’s that time again! The age-old tradition of honoring Saint Patrick is nearly upon us. Saint Patrick was the patron saint and national apostle of Ireland who is credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland.
And what better way to honor the spreading of Christianity to the heathen hordes, than by getting utterly obliterated on Guinness, Irish Carbombs and listening to the chipper sounds of Irish drinking songs?
On the link provided above to the Carbomb recipe, I suggest a variation which makes drinking contests even more fun: Fill a pint glass with Guinness (with prepared shotglass in other hand), count to 3 then chug half the pint, drop the shot glass into the pint glass, then chug the rest. First one to finish wins. Oh, and to the commenter on the linked-to site who says “1 pint? That’s way too much. You can’t chug that.” I say, “HA!”
