		<description>1.  My Mother raised my Brother and I to think for ourselves.   I was encouraged to learn about anything and eerything I was interested in.

2.  My Mother raised us to be independent.  I knew how to cook, do laundry, perform some minimal sewing, and just generally care for myself before I ever left home.

My Mom is proud of me.  Even tho I often think that maybe I didn&#039;t live up to my potential I never get that feeling from her.  She celebrates the things I do right, and encourages me to learn from my failures.
