I just wanted to comment on the policy of having "that one gift that you cave in on". It's a good one.

I'm pretty sure I had a red wagon growing up, but I don't recall ever using it.

Ian’s last blog post..Instant Gratification

Robby's got a big red wagon. He keeps it at grandma & grandpa's house, where he helps with yard stuff. Well, where they pretend he's helping with yard stuff. I'm not sure how much they actually accomplish during his visits.

Anyhow, little red wagons are for playing with, not for using. You're confusing "toys" with "tools."

having owned such a wagon in my childhood, it never even once crossed my mind to take it down the stairs... it's not like it would roll well. A sleepingbag-as-a-sled was much faster.

The only time I put a hole in the wall at the bottom of the stairs, it must be noted, was not going down the stairs, but slipping as I was approaching them to run up the stairs.

Thanks for not making me sound ultra-retarded! I still stand firm that there are enough times per year that a little red wagon would come in handy! You also left out one of the most important aspects of this specific little red wagon: It's only $7!!
