Hearings for the WM3 Scheduled for September

That’s right! This morning Judge David Burnett told attorneys and West Memphis Three supporters in a courtroom session that “…hearings for the West Memphis Three motions were scheduled for September 8th through October 3rd.”

Spring Hearing for Damien Echols

This just in, earlier today, according to the Associated Press:

Lawyers for Damien Echols say they reached an agreement with prosecutors to hold the hearing. The decision comes after U.S. District Court Judge William R. Wilson Jr. asked Echols to present parts of his new, wide-ranging appeal to state courts before seeking relief from federal courts.

West Memphis Three update!

In March, the State filed a Motion in federal court asking that Damien’s Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus be dismissed. The Defense filed a Response to the Motion and the State followed with a Reply. Please click here for more details.
