Three times now this damn event has had my number. Three times now I started the month with a bang and fizzled out like my hopes of each new Pepsi press release announcing the return of Crystal Pepsi.

In any case, this year will be different (I hope) and this year I’m going to reach the goal of completing a 50,000-word novel in one month with my sanity (what the kids haven’t stolen) in tact (I hope).
