Yup. I tap out. But not because I don’t want this to work.
NaNoWriMo, your draconian goal of a 50,000-word novel seemed doable this time. That is, until I realized that what I was working on, late at night, would make a far better “short” story. Inspiration also struck, two more times, and I’ve fallen for ideas which I’ll use to write additional stories.
So, NaNoWriMo, some may say you’ve beaten me again, but I say I used you for what I needed you for. It’s not you, it’s me. I’m just not getting the pleasure out of this relationship, what with all the stress and anxiety of forcing my creative work to be something it’s not.
